Sit and Go Tournaments for the Busy Gambler
Establishing a Quorum
Each table at a Sit and Go tournament operates independently. Players sign into the tournament and choose a table to play at. When that table has attracted between 9 and 10 players, the table is closed and the game begins. Players even have the opportunity to sign up at multiple tables, playing several hands at once, though this is advisable only for those players who are proficient at the game and at multitasking.
Winning a Sit and Go Tournament
Once the game has begun, players should approach their Sit and Go tournament in the same way they would any Texas Holdem game. The player has to build his or her bankroll, using raises and calls to beat their opponents. Many Texas Holdem guides will advise players to only raise when they are in an appropriate table position and when they have a truly optimal hand. If the pocket cards are weak enough, the player should always fold before the flop so they don't lose unnecessary money.
Sit and Go tournaments can be a lot of fun for the player on the go. With their flexible stages, players can join as they have the time and win when the cards are right.
